Honeywell Wins Two Gold Stevie Awards at 2015 American Business Awards

Honeywell won two Gold Stevie Awards, the top honor in each category, at The 13th Annual American Business Awards on June 22, 2015. Chairman and CEO, Dave Cote, was presented with a Gold Stevie® Award in the Executive of the Year - Conglomerates category, and Honeywell Hometown Solutions (HHS) and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) won a Gold Stevie® Award in the Communications Campaign of the Year- Community Relations category for KidSmartz™.

The American Business Awards are the nation's premier business awards program. Nicknamed the "Stevies" for the Greek word meaning "crowned," the awards honor organizations of all types and sizes for their outstanding performances in the workplace.

A judging panel of more than 200 executives worldwide selected Cote for the top award based on his leadership over the past 13+ years, where Honeywell has delivered strong performance in sales growth, earnings per share, segment profit, and cash flow. A strong financial performance track record, along with rolling out several key process initiatives to enable growth and productivity, separated Cote as a front-runner against the other nominees.

HHS and its long-time partner NCMEC were chosen for the Gold Award based on the successful efforts, tactics and results of the PR and Communications Campaign for KidSmartz, the next-generation of Got2BSafe!, launched in October 2014. The abduction prevention program was expanded to students in grades K-5 and introducing new, kid-friendly methods that help keep kids out of harm’s way by empowering them to stay safe through the “Four Rules of Personal Safety”.
