In a Salute to Veteran's Day, Honeywell is Recognized with Two Awards for Commitment to Veterans

Honeywell was recently honored with two respected awards for its “heroic efforts in hiring our nation’s heroes.” For the third year in a row, Honeywell was designated as a 2016 Military Friendly® Employer by Victory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs®. Honeywell received top scores when benchmarked to companies across key programs and policies, such as the strength of military recruiting efforts, percentage of new hires with prior military service, retention programs for veterans, and company policies on National Guard and Reserve service.

“Companies that have earned the 2016 Military Friendly® Employer award have exceptionally strong hiring programs and meaningful careers for transitioning service members and spouses,” said Daniel Nichols, Chief Product Officer of Victory Media and Navy Reserve veteran.

Honeywell was also recognized as a Best Company for Veterans on Monster and’s inaugural awards list. Honorees were chosen by a panel of experts, including officers in the U.S. Marine Corps, the managing editor, and veteran specialists. Honeywell rose through the ranks for its strong hiring numbers, overall percentage of veterans in the workforce, 2016 recruitment plans, makeup of recruitment staff, veteran retention, and special programs offered for veteran onboarding, training and development.

Honeywell is grateful to all its U.S. military veteran colleagues for the noble work they have done for our country and business. “We are proud of our commitment to hire veterans, and our performance culture is often an ideal fit for former U.S. military personnel,” said Honeywell Chairman and CEO, Dave Cote. “We find that these employees demonstrate an unwavering passion for their work along with specialized skills and training that have helped our businesses grow. We also value veterans for their ability to learn quickly and perform under pressure, and for their advanced leadership skills. Individuals with these attributes are likely to have long and successful careers at Honeywell.”
