AZ - 940 Advanced Micro Air Data Computer (AMADC) |
 |
The Advanced Micro Air Data Computer was designed to provide an optimal air data solution for modern digital aircraft. The MADC is an integral component of the Primus 2000 avionics system. The MADC meets all the stringent requirements of flight in Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM) airspace. The AZ - 940 provides operators with a straight-forward and effective solution for RVSM compliance by combining Honeywell’s leading-edge sensor technology and experience in air data applications. |
Key benefits of the AZ - 940 include:
 | | Form factor and pin compatible replacement for the AZ - 840 MADC ASCB bus interface | | | On-aircraft software loading | | | Modularized software | | | Separates aircraft specific parameters from air data operating software | | | Software updates/changes require less effort | | | Meets DO - 178B Level A and DO - 160D HIRF/Lightning providing a more robust design | | | ARINC 429 input outputs | | | Surface mount technology | | | Extensive built-in-test | | | Dual baro input. |
