 The new DL - 950 FMS data loader features the latest in media technology. Designed to replace the old DL - 800 and DL - 900 3.5-inch diskette loaders, the DL - 950 uses a single USB memory device instead of the usual 5 - 6 diskettes. This enables the entire FMS worldwide navigation database (NDB) to reside on a single lightweight storage device. It also enables much faster, more reliable navigation database downloads every 28 days on the aircraft. Gone forever are the old 3.5” diskettes and their cumbersome loading method. |
