ANT - 81A TCAS Antenna |

 | The ANT - 81A is an electronically steerable phased array that has four top loaded monopulse elements. The TCAS processor selects one of four antenna beams and determines the bearing of the intruder aircraft based on the phase difference of the transmitted and received signal. Two ANT - 81A antennas can be installed, one on top and one at the bottom of the aircraft. An alternate configuration is one ANT - 81A on the top and an omnidirectional on the bottom of the aircraft. |
