TPA - 100 TCAS Processor |

 The TPA - 100A is a new third generation processor that provides the capability to actively track aircraft out to a range of 80 to 100 nmiles and supports Mode S based ADS - B capability to extend passive tracking beyond 100 nmiles. The hardware and software design are segmented to facilitate upgrades that are planned to provide increased surveillance capabilities to achieve greater levels of situational awareness for the cockpit crew.
The TPA - 100A is certified to TSO C119b including software certification to DO178b. The TPA - 100A is 20% lighter than conventional processors and requires about 50% of the power. Increased reliability is achieved by incorporating advanced technology to reduce parts count and by lowering internal operating temperatures. |
