Sintering and other important process steps of the production.

| Sintering | |  | Sintering is a process stage during the production of sintered friction materials. Pre-formed “pucks” are initially pressed using metal powders, mineral powders and additions of dry lubricants. These “pucks” compacts are subsequently treated under pressure, temperature and in an inert gas atmosphere. This heat treatment is known as sintering. Sintered friction pads are employed in the most diverse applications and are characterized by high thermal stability, good anti-seizure performance, high pressure stability and low wear. |
