Honeywell Sensing and Control is one of the largest suppliers of sensors, switches, machine safety and other automation and electronics components. Typical customers are OEMs involved in car manufacturing, avionics, medical electronics, information technology, consumer electronics, appliances, process and mechanical automation. The Sensing and Control business is divided into the following product sectors:
AoB (Automotive on Board) – automotive sensors and switches. Typical applications are motor control, transmission, chassis control, cabin control, heating and ventilation, and safety equipment.
ATOM (Aerospace, Transportation, Ordnance, Marine) – Honeywell’s special sensors and switches tailored for harsh environments and norms of avionics, heavy vehicles, marine and military.
Commercial Switches and Sensors – a broad selection of sensors and switches to control pressure, air-flow, force, current, magnetic field, humidity, liquid level, motion and position. Special markets served with custom products can be found in medical electronics, HVAC, information technology, instrumentation, home appliances and motor drives.
Industrial and Safety – Honeywell’s standard or custom type of electromechanical switches, corrosion and environment protected pressure sensors, potentiometers, relays, ultrasonic distance sensors, test and measurement systems and machine safety. Customers served can be found in machine and process automation and machine builders.
