DFSS training is aimed at providing Six Sigma skills to employees to develop robust Honeywell products and improve the process continuously. The training on DFSS at HTSL covers the basic concepts, mechanics and the application of the Six Sigma tools. The focus is on both, product and process improvement.
The training includes group exercises stimulating participants to perform systematic analysis of the problem domain and application of Six Sigma tools that best solves the problem. The evaluation at the end of the training ensures that the participants acquire the knowledge of the tools/ concepts.
This training is followed by Green Belt Certification which demands the application of the concepts / tools in the respective projects. The improvement objectives are identified in the project charter and also tied to the business impact. A mentor is associated to each project and ensures that the Green Belt Project team demonstrates the application of tools/concepts in a real life project. After the successful completion of the Green Belt project, the team members are awarded the Green Belt Certificate.
The rigor of the training and certification process at HTSL ensures that the participants have developed the knowledge and the skill in the application of Six Sigma tools / concepts.
