Honeywell Nobel Initiative

Honeywell – Nobel Initiative The third Honeywell-Nobel Laureate Lecture Series in India was held on September 15 and 16 in the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University at Hyderabad by Honeywell and JNTU. Professor Claude Cohen Tannoudji, the 1997 Nobel Laureate in Physics, visited the university to deliver a lecture on "Quantum Physics: From Basic Concepts To Applications," and interact with students and faculty. He also delivered a colloquium on "Ultra Cold Atoms: Achievements and Perspectives" on September 16 along with small group discussion sessions with the students, interns and faculty.

“Honeywell is committed to providing students the best of opportunities and materials to support their pursuit of math and science education. The Honeywell-Nobel Laureate Lecture Series is a great platform for students to interact with the world’s best scientific minds on the latest developments in research and technology”, said Krishna Mikkilineni, the Vice President and Managing Director of Honeywell Technology Solutions Lab, in his inaugural speech during the lecture.

The Honeywell-Nobel Laureate Lecture Series is the centerpiece of a global education initiative designed to connect students across the globe with Nobel Prize winners in chemistry and physics to inspire and motivate the development of scientists of the future. Honeywell had hosted two Nobel lectures in India before this. One in December last year in Visveswaraya Technological University, Belgaum, Karnataka and the second in College of Engineering, Pune, earlier this year.
