Micro Technologies

Micro TechnologiesMicroelectronics at the Kansas City Plant involves design layout, network fabrication, assembly, and testing of a wide range of microelectronic products.

Since the late 1960s, we have provided high quality and high reliability weapon system microelectronics as part of the mission assignment from the NNSA. To support this assignment, modern, broad-based facilities and capabilities have been established to design, fabricate, and test hybrid microelectronics and multi-chip modules; package semiconductor devices;and assemble MEMS (microelectromechanical
systems). These microelectronic capabilities have been applied to digital, analog, and RF (Radio Frequency) electrical designs that have been used for products such as radars, firesets, programmers, and secure systems where miniaturization and high reliability electronic packaging are required.
