Custom Application Database Services |
 |
Honeywell Datalink and Data Management avionics products are designed with a high degree of flexibility to support the varying needs of our airline customers. These systems incorporate application databases which can be modified using PC-based software tools, allowing new applications to be developed by the airlines themselves or by Honeywell.
Honeywell provides database customization services for modifying applications on Datalink Systems and Data Management Systems.
Datalink Systems Honeywell’s current datalink products provide the ability for airlines to customize the system. This includes such things as modifying the flight crew display screens, downlink messages, uplink display formats, service provider frequencies, and other aspects of the system. Systems offering these flexible capabilities include:
 | | Mark II CMU (PN 965-0758-xxx), | | | Mark III CMU (PN 7519200-XXX), | | | ATSU AOC software used on Airbus Aircraft, and | | | Honeywell’s CMF function within the EPIC system. | | | ACARS MU (PN 965-0728-xxx) |
Honeywell provides Database modification services for the above ACARS/CMU systems for airlines that do not wish to perform this task themselves. Airlines requesting database modifications may contact either their local Honeywell sales representative or Field Service Engineer. As an alternative, when contacting the above individuals is not practical, the Honeywell engineering team involved in database modifications can be contacted directly by sending an email to Datacomm.CMU@honeywell.com
For Airlines located within Europe and the Middle East, Honeywell maintains an organization within customer services called Honeywell Regional Data Services (HRDS). HRDS provides technical support for Datalink products and can also be contacted for Database modification activities. More information is provided on the HDRS web page.
When requesting a database change, please provide the current Database Part number being used in the avionics unit as well as a description of the modification desired. Based on this information Honeywell will respond to your request with a commercial proposal and any further technical information required.
Note: for the Boeing B-777 aircraft, the datalink function on this aircraft is part of the AIMS system. The datalink function for this aircraft is managed by Boeing. Database changes desired for the Boeing B-777 should be directed to your Boeing customer support engineer.
Data Management Products (FDAMS, Recorders) Honeywell’s FDAMS system provides the ability to monitor a wide range of systems on the aircraft in order to provide performance information to an airline. Such capabilities as operational and engine exceedance conditions, engine trending and FOQA reports are features of the FDAMS systems. These systems include a user-modifiable database, which allows an airline to add, delete or modify such application reports. Systems which support this degree of flexibility include:
 | | FDAMS (P/N 967-021X-00X) | | | A340 Data Management Unit (P/N 967-0514-00X; P/N 967-0611-00X) |
Honeywell provides Database modification services for the above Data Management systems. For airlines requesting database modifications, airlines may contact either their local Honeywell sales representative or Field Service Engineer. As an alternative the Honeywell engineering team involved in database modifications can be contacted by sending an email to ACMSApps@Honeywell.com
For Airlines located in Europe and the Middle East, Honeywell also maintains an organization within customer services, called Honeywell Regional Data Services (HDRS). The HRDS organization provides technical support for Datalink products and can also be contacted for Database modification activities.
When requesting a database change, it will be important to provide the current Database Part number being used in the avionics as well as a description of the modification needed. Based on this information, Honeywell will respond to your request with any further technical information required as well as commercial terms. |
