331-200 Auxiliary Power Unit |
 |
| | The 331-200 series APU offers air transport operators’ low total ownership cost, proven reliability and faster, more economical maintenance. As the first electronically controlled APU, the in-flight operation of the 331-200 series APU allows two-engine commercial aircraft to fly extended ranges because the APU provides back-up electrical power during flight in the unlikely event of a main engine failure. When installed fleet-wide, 331-200 APUs can lower the cost of operation through unit commonality, reduced mechanic training, and decreased inventory requirements. |
| | | | Technical Features | | Certified to start and operate at flight levels up to 43,000 feet. | | Provides bleed air for main engine starting and environmental control. | | The 90 kW electrical power generator fully meets all system needs in the case of an emergency. |
