Honeywell opened its Shanghai Global Technology Services (SGTS) in 2005. It is the largest turbocharger research and development center in Asia. The opening of SGTS celebrated Honeywell’s long-term commitment to innovative and reliable engine boosting technologies that address the evolving needs of its Asian and global customers. SGTS currently employs approximately 160 engineers and technicians working in core engineering competencies including Design, Structure and Fatigue, Aerodynamics, Rotordynamics, Vibro-Acoustics, Metallurgy, Reliability, and Product Engineering. A test lab facility on site focuses primarily on testing turbocharger on-engine performance, durability, and reliability.
