Behaviors

Behaviors - Honeywell InternationalOur success depends on being able to deliver innovative solutions with superior quality, delivery, value and technology … anywhere in the world. Yet success doesn’t depend solely on what we do, but also on how we do it.

That’s why we established 12 Behaviors and use them to guide and help evaluate employee performance. Four of the Behaviors in particular relate to our commitment to Diversity:
   Global Mindset
   Makes People Better
   Self-Aware Learner
   Fosters Teamwork and Diversity.

Global Mindset
is viewing the business from all relevant perspectives and seeing the world in terms of integrated value chains.

Makes People Better
encourages excellence in peers, subordinates and managers. Every employee can be a positive influence in the development of others, because we all learn from each other.

Self-Aware Learner
demonstrates the importance of understanding one’s own attitudes and behaviors, and how they affect those around them. Awareness is the first step in accurately assessing strengths and weaknesses, and taking action to improve.

Fosters Teamwork and Diversity
defines success in terms of the whole team’s performance. Honeywell's workforce includes individuals who represent different values, opinions, backgrounds and cultures. Each team member is responsible for helping to maximize the contributions of his or her colleagues. Effective team leaders not only meet the expectations of their role as leaders, but they also set the expectations for team members. Those expectations include an open mind to different ideas and approaches, full participation by all team members and an unwavering focus on the goals at hand.

The Honeywell Behaviors make our work environment more productive, more dynamic and more positive. They enable us to come together and deliver the kind of outstanding results our customers have come to expect.
