PHOENIX, April 22, 2008 – Honeywell (NYSE: HON) announced today that it has signed an exclusive licensing agreement with Mercury Computer Systems for Mercury’s VistaNav® 3D Synthetic Vision Intellectual Property (IP).

“With this new avionics solution, Honeywell expands our technology toolkit and allows us to offer more functionality for today’s cockpits and those of the future,” said TK Kallenbach, Honeywell Vice President, Marketing & Product Management.  “This IP agreement aligns with the Honeywell Aerospace strategy to offer leading-edge flight technologies.”

Under the terms of the agreement, Honeywell will assume sales and support of the VistaNav Cockpit Information System (CIS) situational awareness products.

VistaNav® Synthetic Vision is a portable 3D synthetic vision navigation system and a key element in the VistaNav electronic flight bag solutions designed to increase pilot situational awareness and improve flight safety.

During flight VistaNav generates and displays dynamic, realistic, synthetic 3D imagery, showing a clear daytime like view, regardless of external conditions.

In ground mode, the mobile computer can be used as a Tablet PC, running Windows®-based aviation software.

Aircraft operators can use it to plan flight routes, download weather forecasts and save flight plans.  Primarily deployed in the general aviation market, VistaNav offers applications for airliners and helicopters.

Transition of the licensed VistaNav product line will begin immediately.
