Honeywell And Microsoft Collaborate To Strengthen User Experience For Enterprise-Grade Mobile Devices

Honeywell has joined with Microsoft Corp. to deliver the Windows Embedded 8.1 Handheld platform on Honeywell's latest mobile solution, the Dolphin' 75e mobile computer. The updated technology will enhance security, improve user experience and streamline mobile device management for manufacturing, retail, and transport and logistics companies.
Honeywell's Dolphin 75e mobile computer is the first in a series of devices from the company designed to take full advantage of the modern interface introduced by the Windows Embedded 8.1 platform. The technology provides a modern touch interface built on a powerful processor architecture. It is ideally suited to support organizations that need to optimize productivity and onboard new workers quickly in a variety of workflows, including inventory and asset management, shelf stocking, customer engagement, check-in and reservations, and quality and auditing. Independent software vendors and solution providers can harness the added functionality of Honeywell's latest solution and operating system platform to create applications that give mobile professionals access to richer content faster and more efficiently with decreased development time and costs.
