Shane Tedjarati Discusses Emerging Markets in Harvard Business Review

Harvard Business Review published in its September issue a spotlight feature on “Managing Across Borders” and invited four senior executives around the world, including President of Honeywell Global High Growth Regions (HGRs) Shane Tedjarati, to contribute their opinions about cross-border challenges they’ve faced. In this article, Tedjarati shed light on how Honeywell is shifting its strategy toward emerging markets, such as China, India, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
Tedjarati especially elaborated on how the company began its globalization work in China as well as the company’s core strategy and how it is applied to the other high growth regions. “China is our largest market outside the United States, and we see it as ground zero for our globalization efforts” he writes. “China will serve as the globalization platform for all our other markets outside the United States and Europe.”
