Students at four elementary schools were the lucky winners of the first KidSmartz™ “Safety Dance” video contest, where elementary school students from all across the U.S. were invited to create their own music video to show how they will remember the ““Four Rules of Personal Safety” - Check First; Take a Friend; Tell People “No;” and Tell a Trusted Adult.
Each winning school received a grand prize of $10,000 from Honeywell Hometown Solutions to be used to support the school’s efforts in promoting the safety program throughout their communities. The grand prize winners from the 65 submissions are:
• P.S. 253 The Magnet School of Multicultural Humanities in Brooklyn, N.Y.
• Liberty Oaks Elementary School in Kansas City, Mo.
• Travis Ranch School in Yorba Linda, Calif.
• Holy Cross Lutheran School in North Miami, Fla.
