Honeywell and Huawei to Cooperate in Smart City, Smart Energy and Industrial Internet

Honeywell and Huawei signed a cooperation framework agreement at 2015 Huawei Cloud Congress on September 18, 2015 in Shanghai, China. According to the agreement, Honeywell China and Huawei will establish a comprehensive partnership to jointly explore cooperation in the fields of smart city, smart energy and industrial internet.
Echoing Honeywell’s “East for East” and “East to Rest” strategies, the two sides also agree to use China as a bridge and base to jointly explore business opportunities in other High Growth Regions(HGR) across the globe, including the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa.
“The agreement between Honeywell and Huawei represents a long-awaited partnership between the two leading technology-driven companies,” said Dr. Scott Zhang, President of Honeywell Technology Solutions, at the signing ceremony. “Honeywell has deep technical strengths in aerospace, automation, and performance materials, as well as a strong local R&D and production capacity in China; Huawei is a recognized leader in information and communications technology (ICT) field. We believe our cooperation will help integrate our respective resources and technology capabilities to generate joint offerings and solutions that are more innovative, more energy efficient and cost effective.”
