Honeywell Speaks on Government/Business Cooperation at Indonesia Investment Forum

Honeywell discussed economic reforms and commitment to government and private sector cooperation at the 2016 Indonesia Investment Forum that brought together over 500 global and local business leaders, foreign investors, industry experts, government officials, and economists from across 20 different countries to discuss the latest economic developments in Indonesia.

Representing the Company, Alex Pollack, President of Honeywell Indonesia, was invited to participate in the opening panel led by Tony Shale, Chief Executive Officer and Asia, Euro-money Institutional Investor, to discuss Indonesia's changing trade and investment landscape. Other speakers including Vivek Pathak, Regional Director of East Asia and Pacific International Finance Corporation IFC, Rosan Roeslani, Chairman of Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), and Kartika Wirjoatmodjo, Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director for Finance and Strategy, PT Bank Mandiri also attended the session.

As the only speaker representing the multinational companies in Indonesia, Alex Pollack shared his optimism for the rebirth of Indonesia's economy. One of the key messages he delivered was about the commitment and cooperation between government and the private sector, “The responsibility of economic reforms in Indonesia is not only bound to the government. I think all businesses need to contribute to drive the rebirth of investment in the country. This also sets a good demonstration of cooperation between government and private sector, And we need to do this ‚ÄòRight and Fast'. Honeywell Indonesia, with our expertise in technology, is ready to support government to boost up the economic reforms in the country,” said Alex.
