August 10, 2016
INCOSE is a not-for-profit membership organization that promotes international collaboration in systems engineering practice, education and research. Systems engineering is an interdisciplinary field of engineering that focuses on how to design and manage complex engineering systems over their life cycles.
Ramki, who is the Knowledge-Based Development Practice Leader at HTS, has led the way in establishing a framework and maturing the systems engineering competency at HTS. He has been associated with INCOSE since 2005, when he became India's first certified systems engineering professional. Since then, Ramki's work with the industry and academic community established a foundation for enhancing the awareness and adoption of systems engineering in the country.
Ramki had the honor of being recognized as an Ambassador of INCOSE from 2010 until 2014 for his contributions to systems engineering. He was instrumental in establishing and growing the INCOSE India chapter and helped in developing a handbook on the subject. Ramki is currently serving as the Assistant Director, Asia Oceania at INCOSE and an executive committee member representing India, in the Asia Pacific Council on Systems Engineering.
Founded in 1990, INCOSE today hosts more than 70 chapters, with over 10,000 members worldwide. It establishes industry standards and offers a certification program to formally recognize the knowledge and experience of industry professionals.
