U.S. Veterans Magazine Names Honeywell a 2016 Top Veteran Friendly Company
August 22, 2016
Each year DiversityComm, Inc. and its six diversity magazines poll hundreds of Fortune 1000 companies for the year’s Best of the Best evaluations. Their goal is to open up employment, business and supplier opportunities within the federal government and corporate America for veterans, transitioning service members, disabled veterans, spouses and veteran business owners.
“By sharing these unique responses, we hope to not only increase quality of candidates, but encourage other companies to follow the lead and ultimately create a more diverse workforce,” said U.S. Veterans Magazine President and Founder Mona Lisa Faris.
The annual, non-biased review of the nation’s employers, government agencies and educational institutions are valuable resources for job-seekers, business owners, students, consumers, senior management, business associations and employment agencies.
For the third year in a row, Honeywell was named a Top Military Friendly Employer by G.I. Jobs, as a result of its military recruiting efforts, percentage of new hires with previous military service and company policies towards National Guard and Reserve service. Honeywell was also recognized as a 2015 Best Company for Veterans by Monster and Military.com for its strong hiring numbers, overall percentage of veterans in the workforce, recruitment plans and staff, veteran retention and special programs offered for veteran onboarding, training and development.
Strong work ethic, accelerated learning, performance under pressure and inspirational leadership are attributes commonly found within America’s active military forces. These same qualities foster successful careers at Honeywell. Enter your military job code at http://honeywell-veterans.jobs/ to explore open opportunities.
