HONEYWELL ADDS TWO MODELS TO WHOLE-HOUSE DEHUMIDIFICATION ENERGY STAR RATED PRODUCT LINE

MINNEAPOLIS, May 18, 2009 Honeywell (NYSE: HON) today announced the addition of two new models to the TrueDRY™ whole-house dehumidification line TrueDRY™ DH65 and TrueDRY™ DH150. The new models, along with TrueDRY™ DH90, allow contractors to satisfy the needs of more residential dehumidification applications."Most of our customers are familiar with the DH90 model, which had been Honeywell's only whole-house dehumidification solution. We listened to our customers, who told us they needed more models both smaller and larger to meet the needs of different installations and applications" says John Tyhacz, vice president and general manager of Honeywell's home comfort and energy systems business.Designed for smaller homes or tight installation spaces, Honeywell's TrueDRY DH65 is a compact, high-efficiency unit that can remove up to 65 pints of moisture from the air each day. The DH65 uses only 5.5 amps and is ENERGY STAR rated.The TrueDRY DH150 removes up to 150 pints of moisture from the air each day and is designed for larger spaces where significant dehumidification is needed. The unit uses only 6.9 amps and is ENERGY STAR rated. The DH150 is Honeywell's first dehumidifier to use R-410A Refrigerant, which is environmentally friendly and conforms to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards for refrigerants.
