Honeywell Aerospace (NYSE:HON) is highlighting the benefits of its growing international distributor network for its satellite communications technologies at this year’s Dubai Air Show.In response to growing demand in the defense sector for greater connectivity across military fleets, Honeywell recently signed Aero Precision as an international satcom dealer for its satellite data and voice transmission systems. These technologies improve voice and data communication between aircraft and the ground to reduce pilot workload, improve safety and reduce operational costs. The agreement brings significant benefits to Honeywell’s defense customer base across the Middle East and internationally, by providing them with faster access to equipment sales and aftermarket support for Honeywell’s L-Band and future Ka-Band connectivity systems for fixed wing and rotor-craft. Aero Precision has exclusive satcom distributor rights for Honeywell’s defense business in Saudi Arabia and Qatar as well as several other markets in Asia and Latin America. It also has non-exclusive distributor rights internationally, including the rest of the Middle East.“At this year’s Dubai Air Show, we will be showcasing a range of connectivity systems for defense customers that improve air-to-air and air-to-ground communications, and make operations more efficient, said Anthony Azar, senior director High Growth Regions, Defense and Space International, Honeywell Aerospace. “As well demonstrating our technological capabilities and benefits we are underlining the fact that, through agreements with companies like Aero Precision, it is now even easier for Middle East operators to get fast, efficient, local access to some of the industry’s most advanced satellite communication systems.”On display at Honeywell’s stand during the show will be its Sky Connect Tracker III system for helicopters, which works in conjunction with Honeywell’s Zing Health Usage Monitoring System (HUMS) to transfer real-time health information via satellite to maintenance crews on the ground. Operators can improve asset safety and mission-readiness, and take a more cost-efficient on-condition approach to maintenance, as a result. In addition, Honeywell will be showcasing its Aspire L-Band Satcom products as well as its Ka-Band Satcom systems. Under the latest agreement Aero Precision is now an approved distributor for sales and servicing of both the Sky Connect and Aspire product lines in the Middle East.Visitors interested in finding out more about Honeywell’s satcom offerings can visit the company at the Dubai Air Show, Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International Airport, Booth #2336. Aero Precision is also exhibiting at the show and visitors are welcome at booth #2360.
