Coronavirus Response: N95 Mask Production Launched in India
Millions of masks will be made at the Fulgaon facility
Honeywell has added a N95 face mask production line at our Fulgaon facility in India to help support frontline healthcare workers, emergency responders and government organizations responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.
At peak capacity, this facility will produce 2 million masks per month.
This plant specializes in providing automation solutions and field instruments in addition to testing and manufacturing equipment for the process industries, which will continue alongside the new face mask production.
“As a global leader in manufacturing superior quality personal protective equipment, Honeywell is proud to set up the production unit for the face mask supporting the frontline healthcare professionals in India,” said Akshay Bellare, president, Honeywell India. “We are committed to the government’s vision of a self-reliant India and this is a testimony of our technical capabilities in building large-scale face mask production line in less than two months. As Honeywell, we remain steadfast in our mission to offer superior quality solutions that make for a safer and sustainable future.”
To produce the personal protective equipment, we are leveraging existing integrated supply chain and local manufacturing expertise.
“We are proud of the role we are playing in providing face masks for the fight against the coronavirus,” said Asheesh Arora, vice president and general manager, Honeywell Safety and Productivity Solutions (APAC).
