Kate Adams, Honeywell Senior Vice President and General Counsel, was recently honored by the NYSE Governance Services as a Distinguished General Counsel. The honor recognizes General Counsel who have made significant strides in helping their boards and companies succeed.
Adams, who is responsible for managing all of the company’s legal affairs, as well as the Government Relations; Health, Safety, Environment, Product Stewardship and Sustainability; and Global Security organizations, has developed a comprehensive system for integrating integrity, compliance, and risk prevention into the company’s operating processes. Compliance and risk management are now accomplished through mature evolving processes and active participation across businesses, functions, and regions. One of her major achievements has been the work Honeywell does to make its businesses more environmentally friendly, safer, and more sustainable. Adams also focuses on diversity as a key success factor for Honeywell’s business performance believing that an inclusive culture creates greater engagement and participation from employees.
