Another milestone in advancing women’s leadership has been marked following the recent LeadHERS event. Hosted at Honeywell’s Gurgaon campus, the event included strategic discussions to empower women to overcome obstacles and set new standards in business.
Empowering Women in Commercial Excellence
The latest LeadHERs event brought together over 125 women from sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance, across a diverse range of industries. The event’s theme, ‘Breaking Barriers, Building Business,’ set the tone for a day of inspiration, networking, and knowledge sharing.
A dynamic panel discussion, moderated by Deepti Vij, Director of Talent Acquisition at Honeywell, featured industry leaders including Ajay Khera, Former Commercial Head – India, Technip Energies; Shally Verma, Business Development Leader, Rockwell India; Nandini Singh, Partner & Executive Director, IBM; and Pavitra Venkatraman, Partner Development, Microsoft. These experts shared insights on resilience, credibility, and driving innovation. Their stories encouraged attendees to challenge norms and lead transformation in their fields.
Inspiration from Industry Icons
Ashish Modi, president for Honeywell India opened the event, which also featured keynote talks by Shaili Chopra, award-winning journalist and founder of SheThePeople and Gytree, and Ritu Jerath, a global leader in customer experience and digital transformation from Honeywell. Both speakers inspired the audience with their journeys of breaking barriers and redefining what’s possible for women in strategic business roles.
Building Momentum for Change
Honeywell’s inaugural ‘LeadHERs in Tech’ event took place in Bengaluru earlier this year. It brought together over 200 women professionals from the technology sector to celebrate innovation and leadership. Discussions highlighted the power of women-led innovation and the importance of creating opportunities for women to lead transformation in technology. Leaders called for greater empowerment, male allyship, and sponsorship to advance women’s careers, emphasizing the need for training to mitigate unconscious bias and encouraging women to be bold and vocal in shaping the future.
Honeywell’s Commitment to Inclusion and Innovation
Inclusion and diversity are core to Honeywell’s values. The company continues to champion women’s leadership across commercial, customer-facing, technology, and finance roles. Through initiatives like LeadHERs, Honeywell reaffirms its commitment to building inclusive workplaces and shaping a future where diversity, innovation, and leadership go hand in hand.
