Honeywell Laser Lite Ear Protection Headlines Europe's Largest Rock Festival

HONEYWELL LASER LITE EAR PROTECTION ALSO SET TO HEADLINE EUROPE'S LARGEST ROCK FESTIVAL, ROCK AM RING ROISSY, France, 20 May, 2015 - When an expected 90,000 music fans attend Europe's largest music festival, Rock Am Ring, in Mendig, Germany starting 5th June, along with three days of music they will receive a free set of Honeywell's ( NYSE: HON) LASER LITE® ear protectors so they can enjoy the festival without potentially damaging their hearing. "This is the first time that the festival, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, is being held in Mendig, Germany, having moved from the Nurburgring. We wanted to mark the occasion by giving our visitors something to really help them enjoy the festival fully," explains Frank Neideck, from Mendig's Office of Tourism and Culture. "The reality is that the music played at concerts and festivals can be significantly louder than 85 Decibels - the level at which noise can damage hearing. We want people to have a fantastic experience on every level and so we have teamed up with Honeywell Safety Products to provide 100,000 Howard Leight® LASER LITE ear-plugs." Designed and used around the world to help protect workers against excessive noise at work, LASER LITE earplugs not only protect the wearer from potentially damaging noise levels, but also enable them to listen clearly to other sounds, such as music.Popular at other music festivals, such as Glastonbury in the UK, the LASER LITE earplugs are a vibrant magenta and yellow and have a contoured 'T'-shape design, which makes them easy to insert and highly comfortable. Their polyurethane foam construction expands to fit virtually every ear shape."Many people don't recognize the risk of hearing damage that can occur from leisure noise, such as music concerts, and too often they don't take precautions. Using these ear protectors will let them enjoy the music without the risk of hearing loss," said Brad Witt, Director of Hearing Conservation at Honeywell Safety Products.
