Bayer Pearl takes up Honeywell's Solstice LBA

Dubai, United Arab Emirates &emdash; Bayer Pearl recently developed a new spray foam system based on Solstice LBA liquid blowing systems from Honeywell.

The Solstice LBA-containing polyurethane-spray foam system of the Baymer family offers homeowners "excellent thermal insulation performance for reduced energy consumption", said a press release from Bayer Pearl.

Joe-Antonio Diaz-Lopez, head of application development at Bayer Pearl in Dubai, said: "This first real application of a polyurethane spray foam system with a 4th generation blowing agent in a construction project in UAE underlines Bayer Pearl&emdash;s commitment to sustainability, and will not remain the only project of this kind in the short term."

As previously reported at UTECH-polyurethane.com, refrigerator makers Whirlpool has used Solstice since 2012 and Midea adopted it in 2014.
