Honeywell's Plantcruise Improves Plant Performance and Business Results

PUNE, August 19, 2015 Honeywell (NYSE:HON) Process Solutions (HPS) today announced the latest PlantCruise by Experion®, a compact, easy-to-use distributed control system (DCS) to address specific requirements for small- and mid-sized operations in emerging regions. Based on Honeywell's award-winning Experion® Process Knowledge System (PKS), PlantCruise is available in India, China, Russia and Brazil.

In industries such as specialty chemicals, biofuels, power generation, pharmaceuticals, mining, water and wastewater, and food and beverage, PlantCruise by Experion provides a robust DCS solution for control of continuous and batch processes for companies looking to manage costs while meeting more stringent regulations and increased sustainability objectives. PlantCruise with Experion PKS technology helps optimize industrial performance resulting in greater agility to respond to new customer demands and changing product requirements.

"The latest PlantCruise by Experion leverages the proven process controller C300, offers ease of use and scalability that are vital to improved plant performance, and better business results in an increasingly competitive environment," said Achal Nath, senior product line leader, HPS. "This also helps various industrial applications greatly reduce the time required to engineer controls, displays, configure reports and build interfaces. This helps operators run the plant by giving them the information they need to make timely decisions without cluttering their view of the process."

PlantCruise by Experion enables industrial organizations to realize the performance advantages of a true DCS and SCADA functionality. This compact DCS can be easily used, configured and tailored to fit specific control applications.

PlantCruise by Experion offers the latest innovations that leverage:
  • High performance input/output (I/O) design
  • Simplified engineering and maintenance functionality
  • Honeywell-patented Fault Tolerant Ethernet (FTE) capability for the highest reliability
  • Profit Loop algorithm for improved control performance and simplified maintenance
  • Virtualization solutions for reduced cost of ownership associated with open systems
  • Change control process verification for regulatory compliance

PlantCruise by Experion allows users to extend their scope at any time from process control and management to include personnel and assets and to even integrate the resources of their entire business operations.
