That first sip of coffee in the morning? It’s more connected to Honeywell than you might think. From roasting the beans to drying the ceramic mug and baking the pastry that completes your order, industrial burners built in Muncie, Indiana, power the comforts of your daily routine.
But coffee is just the beginning.
At Honeywell’s site in Muncie, Indiana – founded in 1916 under the Maxon family name – Futureshapers design and build industrial burners that serve a variety of use cases. These burners are used in everything from heating commercial buildings to drying the paint on your car. They even help cook the food you toss into your grocery cart: think oven-baked pizzas, boxed mac and cheese and packaged sweets. When it comes to shelf-stable products like protein powder, baby formula and drink mixes, industrial dryers transform liquids into powders that last.
While teammates at this site are proud of what they have built, they are even more excited about what’s next. The Muncie team is pioneering low NOx and hydrogen-ready burner technologies that help industries reduce emissions.
