Meet a #futureshaper: Penny Wang

Penny Wang enjoys going to work every day because she knows she is helping build a more intelligent and friendly society.

“There’s more we can do to make production easier and consumption more convenient,” said Penny, a senior advanced project engineer.

Based in Suzhou, China; here is her #futureshaper story.

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a teacher.

What brought you to Honeywell?

My interests in consumer electronics products brought me to Honeywell.

What do you do?

I’m a project engineer, which is just like a captain. I need direct team to reach destination on time, on spec, on cost.

If you were a fortune reader, what would you predict as the future of your industry?

It will be a huge breakthrough in future. Transformation and integration, Innovation lead new retail, smart factory, etc. IoT will change into on-demand customization, and artificial intelligence will be the major.

In your eyes, what qualities does a #futureshaper possess?

I think a #futureshaper needs a mission and faith. Without faith, noting is possible. With it, nothing is impossible.

What advice would you give someone who wants to follow in your footsteps?

Broaden your horizons. Don’t limit your future.

When you are not working, what do you do for fun?

I like to exercise outdoor and listen to music.
