Peter Lau

President and CEO, Industrial Automation

Peter Lau is President and CEO of Honeywell Industrial Automation (IA), a business unit devoted to transforming how industries operate, innovate and grow.

Peter leads a complex global business with colleagues around the world who deliver mission critical measurement, sensing, and control solutions that enhance safety, asset efficiency, productivity, and reliability for a variety of Industrial end markets.

Peter joined Honeywell from FARO Technologies, a NASDAQ listed company, where he was the President, CEO, and member of the company’s Board of Directors.  In this role, he led a global business that reimagined the future of 3D measurement and imaging hardware, software, and service technology solutions transforming how customers bridge the digital and physical worlds with precision and confidence.

Peter is a former Honeywell leader in the Building Automation business.  Having served as the President of Honeywell’s Security, Fire, and Electrical Products businesses, Peter helped shift our offerings from hardware to software-based solutions, expanded our global footprint and strengthened our commercial capabilities.

Peter began his career at General Electric, holding roles of increasing responsibility across multiple disciplines, including commercial, six sigma, pricing, M&A, and supply chain, culminating as CEO of an International division of the company based in London.  Peter also served as the President of the Electrical Segment at Hubbell Incorporated.

Peter holds a bachelor of science in business administration from Northeastern University in Boston, having graduated magna cum laude.  Peter serves on the board of directors for Catalyst Nutraceuticals, a portfolio company of MSouth Equity Partners.
