Northwestern Ohio Security Systems Upgrades Access Control for Ohio Turnpike

The Ohio Turnpike is a 241-mile stretch of toll road that runs the length of northern Ohio. The turnpike features toll plazas, service plazas, and maintenance buildings which house staff, restaurants and variety of other amenities. The Ohio Turnpike sought to replace its legacy access control system and add an additional 125 doors to a new system.

Northwestern Ohio Security Systems (NWOSS) recommended a LenelS2 NetBox™ solution and was awarded the project. The new NetBox Enterprise 50 system covers over 400 doors. NWOSS is also working on migrating and scrubbing the Turnpike’s database of 2,500 employees and contractors.
