Integrated Protection Services Upgrades Access Control for University of Cincinnati
Looking to migrate from a legacy access control system, the University turned to Integrated Protection Services for a comprehensive security solution.
Founded in 1819, The University of Cincinnati (UC) is the oldest institution of higher education in Cincinnati with an annual enrollment of over 46,000 students across the main campus and two branch campuses. Looking to migrate from a legacy access control system, UC turned to Integrated Protection Services (IPS) for a comprehensive security solution.
IPS deployed a LenelS2 OnGuard® access control system, starting with the main campus and later incorporating both branch campuses. Over 1,000 doors in academic, dining and residential facilities feature Bluetooth-enabled LenelS2 BlueDiamond™ readers. The OnGuard system is also integrated with UC’s Blackboard Transact system, enabling single card tap access.
